International, transparent, flexible: What CICS and CBCS can now do in addition

Globe with connected countries, invoices, and dashboard – symbolic image for international, SAP-independent e-invoicing with CICS and CBCS

Honestly: The question has come up suspiciously often lately. No longer just „How do we get XInvoice and ZUGFeRD “Does it work cleanly in SAP?„, but rather: ”And what do we do with our national company in France?„ Or: ”Our biggest supplier doesn't have SAP at all - can that still work?"

Precisely these questions have led us to take CICS and CBCS noticeably to develop further. Three innovations at a glance – and one property that consciously not changed.

New: Representing e-invoices internationally

Many of our customers are no longer just operating in Germany. National subsidiaries, affiliated companies, international suppliers – all these have their own formatting requirements, reporting channels, and deadlines. You can no longer get by with just XRechnung and ZUGFeRD.

CICS and CBCS increasingly cover the requirements of other European and international countries. The key advantage: you don't build individual connections per country, but continue to manage your entire e-invoicing strategy centrally through one solution – even if your corporate group is internationally positioned.

New: The invoicing process at a glance

The second new feature is our CICS/CBCS dashboard. How many incoming invoices were processed today? Where did a validation fail? What about your outgoing invoices? Previously, many only answered these questions at the end of the month, when there was already tidying up to be done. From now on, you'll see it in real-time: status, volume, errors, and throughput, all in one central place – so you can manage rather than just react.

And what has remained the same: even without SAP standard

Here we come to the point that has actually preoccupied us the most – because it repeatedly comes up in customer conversations, usually almost casually: „Oh, it runs without SAP too? That's practical.” CICS and CBCS were designed to be system-independent from the start, and they have remained so after this update. Whether it's a fully digitized SAP landscape, a niche system, or a subsidiary without SAP at all – the solution works independently of the ERP system used.

From all that we've gathered from customer inquiries in recent months, this is precisely what is quite rare on the market. Most e-invoicing solutions are either tailored for SAP or for another system—rarely for both at the same time.

„It was clear to us: international and dashboards are important expansion stages, but our real difference remains the same as on day one – we pick up exactly where the SAP standard leaves off. This now simply applies to more countries and with more transparency,” says Stephan Kaup, Managing Director of Consult-SK GmbH.

What that means to you

In summary:

  • International E-invoicing formats beyond Germany, centrally controlled, without individual country connections
  • Dashboard Real-time status, volume, and errors for your invoice processing instead of only at month's end
  • System-independent continues to work even where no SAP standard exists

If you'd like to know which countries your business is already covered in, or what the dashboard looks like in practice – simply get in touch with us. We'll be happy to show you live in the system.
