Deutsche Fiskal has announced that from the October 1, 2025 all TSE logs that are older than 30 daysare automatically deleted from the Fiskal Cloud Portal - unless a DF archive has been booked. This is done as part of an update of the Fiskal Cloud Connector version.
What sounds like a simple memory cleanup at first glance has enormous implications for companies: because the Protocols of the technical safety device (TSE) are among the tax-relevant datawhich after GoBD and KassenSichV must be stored.
Why archiving is so important
- Duty to maintain: All cash register and transaction data must be archived completely, unalterably and available at all times.
- TSE signatures: They are proof of the integrity of the data - and must remain correctly assigned to the individual transactions.
- Audits by the tax authorities: Without complete TSE logs, companies risk complaints and even tax assessments.
With the deletion after 30 days, the very database that is crucial for a proper tax audit disappears.
Who is affected?
- Companies that have booked the DF Archive: No action required - archiving takes place automatically.
- Companies with their own archiving: There is an acute need for action here. The TSE logs must be downloaded within 30 days, transferred to an audit-proof archive and confirmed become.

And what else does the new FCC update bring?
In addition to the new data retention requirements, the Version 4.2.2 other technical adjustments that are important for stable operation:
- Improved communication with the DF Cloud
- Adjusted time stampISO format in API responses now always contains milliseconds
The version is available immediately. There is no obligation to update - however, all customers who have already upgraded to 4.2.0 or 4.2.1 are strongly recommended to migrate to 4.2.2.

Discontinuation of the old Admin OAuth authentication
Another key change concerns the authentication methods:
The previous Admin OAuth Authentication has been outdated for some time and will be replaced with the upcoming release 4.3.x finally removed.
Instead, only the ERS OAuth Authentication permitted. Anyone still using the old procedure should switch as soon as possible to avoid compatibility problems. Admin OAuth Authentication has been obsolete for some time and will finally be removed with the upcoming release 4.3.x.
In future, only the ERS OAuth Authentication permissible.
Anyone still using the old procedure should switch over as soon as possible to avoid compatibility problems.
For Receipt4S customers this means:
- Check whether Admin OAuth Authentication is still being used in your environment.
- If so, plan the migration to ERS OAuth Authentication in good time.
This is the only way to ensure that Receipt4S also works smoothly with future FCC versions.
To Do for companies
- Update to FCC 4.2.2 is recommended if you are already using version 4.2.x.
- Changeover to ERS OAuth Authentication is mandatory, as Admin OAuth will soon be discontinued.
- Save TSE logsCheck your archiving processes to avoid data loss from October 2025.
The conversion of Deutsche Fiskal makes this clear: The responsibility for proper archiving lies with the company. If you don't take care of this in time, you risk losing data and problems at the next audit.
We at Consult-SK will of course assist you with all the necessary steps - from updating the FCC and adapting the authentication to securely archiving your TSE logs.
