Girls Day: Business Informatics - we dispel clichés!

You are here:

Once a year, thanks to Girls Day, schoolgirls have the opportunity to get a taste of professions that tend to be male-dominated. We would like to support this and have posted an offer on the Girls Day platform for the first time. The interest was great and we are pleased to welcome six girls at CSK on April 27, 2023.

How do you create the best solutions in your own company? For us, the answer is crystal clear: Through diverse opinions and perspectives! At Consult-SK GmbH, the areas of development and process consulting are not all male. For example Olga Becker, unsere Expertin für SAP Fiori Apps, die sich ihren Zugang zur SAP Entwicklung in Eigenregie als Quereinsteigerin erarbeitet hat. Sie ist einfach nicht mehr wegzudenken.

On the consulting front, we are supported by Céline Short with her background in financial accounting. She already dealt with SAP processes in her bachelor's thesis. We also rely on female power when it comes to junior staff: Merna Nassif is completing a dual study program in business informatics with us and Crina Betivu is on hand to support us with energy in addition to school. We would like to use this female power on Girls Day to get schoolgirls excited about a career in business informatics.

The participants can ask lots of questions - after all, choosing a career is a decisive step. And professions in the STEM sector in particular are characterized by a secure future. That's worth considering ;).

What do we want to teach on Girls Day?

First of all, we would like to give the students the opportunity to experience through our role models that many roads can lead to Rome - in this case to computer science. It is important to us to make it tangible that many clichés regarding the field of computer science are no longer true today. To this end, we provide insights into our everyday professional life and explain what kind of software products and services we offer our customers, why we can deliver added value with them and what each individual employee contributes to this.

Of course, the concrete subject of our work should not be neglected! The participants will take a look at one of our SAP AddOns and act as "data snoopers" themselves.

We look forward to an exciting day!
