Paper, projects and a bit of chaos - our PM training course with tower-building effect

The last few weeks at Consult-SK have been all about going to school - but in a really entertaining way! On a total of four days, we intensively dealt with the topic of Project management busy. For some of us it was a welcome refresher, for others it was completely new territory. Whether trainees, dual students, working students or "old hands" - everyone was there.

We were particularly impressed by the practical tower building project game. Task: Use paper and adhesive tape to build the tallest free-standing tower that can also carry a stack of cards at the top. Sounds easy? It's not - but it's definitely great fun! We folded, glued, discussed, discarded, rethought and, above all, laughed a lot. Along the way, we experienced first-hand what really matters in good project management: clear communication, sensible allocation of roles and the courage to try out creative solutions.

Of course, in our day-to-day work at Consult-SK, we tend to deal with digital solutions, cloud platforms and processes that you can't necessarily touch - so it was all the more fun to work with paper in a completely analog way again.

It was and is important to us that project management is not an end in itself. Anyone who understands how to set up project structures and schedules can maintain an overview even in complex projects - regardless of whether they are customer projects, internal tasks or spontaneous "Tower of Babel" experiments. Good planning not only ensures that the project goal is achieved, but also prevents the tower (or the team) from collapsing.

Conclusion: Not only have our paper towers grown, but also our team spirit and PM expertise.

Thanks to everyone who took part - it was an all-round successful training course with real added value!
